The BrightLeaf Good Samaritan Award recognizes individuals who pursue extraordinary measures to strengthen communities and improve life in New Hampshire.  We have honored over 130 Good Samaritans since the inception of the Good Samaritan Awards celebration in 1996. 

The 2026 Good Samaritans will be honored at the Good Samaritan Awards Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 8th at the Derryfield Restaurant in Manchester.

To identify these outstanding individuals, BrightLeaf conducts a nomination process through which community members can recommend qualified candidates for this recognition.  We are now accepting nominations for this prestigious award.  

Criteria for Nomination:
Nominee can be an individual, couple, family, or organization.
Nominee must reside or work in New Hampshire.
Nominations may be made by an individual or an organization with knowledge of the nominee’s service.
Nominee must demonstrate dedication to improving the quality of life of others.
Nominee must demonstrate commitment to the community, helping to make it a better place to live and work.
Nominee’s commitment may be performed through volunteer opportunities as well as in the context of paid employment.
